Clearing saved work removes this browser’s lists, quotes and recent items. It does not delete your account or its online records.

Who we are

Price Planter (priceplanter.com) is run by Shaun Barry. For anything about your data, email hello@priceplanter.com.

We don't sell your details. With your OK (the cookie banner's Accept), Google Ads measurement cookies tell us whether our ads lead to applications; tap Essential and no advertising cookies are set.

What we store, and why

Your account: name, email, sign-in details, business details and buying preferences you add on your account page. Used to sign you in and fill in your defaults.

Pro Trade applications: business name, trade, contact details and any proof documents you upload. Used to check you are a genuine trade before unlocking the quote tools.

Quotes, invoices and client details: everything you type into the quote and invoice tools, including your clients' names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, signatures, payments and CIS details. You control this data; we store it so you can send, track and re-open it.

Saved lists and alerts: your materials lists, price watches and basket price-drop alerts, plus the email address alerts are sent to. Used to re-price lists and email you when prices drop.

Merchant, ready-mix and skip hire listings: branch names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, delivery areas, opening hours, waste carrier licence details and replies to quote requests. Used to show suppliers to customers and pass on requests.

Quote requests you send to suppliers (ready-mix, skip hire): the job details, postcode, dates and photos you add. Shared only with the suppliers you choose.

Contact form messages: your name, email and message. Used to reply to you.

Template download sign-ups: your email and whether you opted in to tips. Used to send the workbook and, if you agreed, occasional tips.

Analytics events: pages viewed, comparisons run, buttons used and a rough device type. Used to see what's useful. Not linked to your name.

On your device: your current list, postcode, trade or retail choice and recent items stay in your browser until you clear site data.

Cookies and local storage

Essential (always on): your materials list, postcode and sign-in are kept on this device so the site works. No choice needed.

Optional (only if you tap Accept): an anonymous visitor number so we can count visits, and Google Ads measurement cookies so we can tell whether someone who tapped our ad went on to apply for Pro Trade. Tap Essential and neither is set.

The banner appears where consent is required. Change your choice using the controls on this page without deleting your saved work. See how Google uses consent data: business.safety.google/privacy.

What we send to other services

Photos, voice notes and rough notes you ask us to match are sent to our AI service (Lovable AI, which runs OpenAI GPT models, plus Google Gemini for our price checks) to match them to materials or draft a quote. They are used for that request only.

Postcodes you use for weather or distance are sent to postcodes.io, OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) and Open-Meteo to find the location and forecast. Map pictures load from OpenStreetMap.

Emails (alerts, quote links, sign-in emails, supplier requests) are sent by our email provider.

When you email or WhatsApp a quote from your own phone, it goes through your own app, not us.

Who processes your data for us

Lovable (website hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, email sending and the AI service). Map and location look-ups: OpenStreetMap, postcodes.io and Open-Meteo. These services only use the data to provide their service to us.

Suppliers you choose to contact receive the request details you send them. Clients you send a quote or invoice to see what's on it.

How long we keep it

Account, quotes, invoices, saved lists and alerts: while your account is open. Delete your account and we delete them, apart from anything we must keep by law.

Pro Trade proof documents: until your application is decided, then for as long as your Pro Trade access lasts.

Contact messages and template sign-ups: up to 2 years, or sooner if you ask.

Analytics events: up to 2 years.

Supplier listings: while the listing is live, then removed on request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or take a copy with you. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it.

Email hello@priceplanter.com and we'll reply within one month, usually much sooner. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Prices are estimates

Every figure on the site is an indicative sample price, not a live feed and not a quote. Always confirm with the branch before ordering.
